IHF European Field Handball Cup 1969

The national champions of Austria , Federal Republic of Germany , Switzerland and the Netherlands , as well as defending champions of TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen , took part in the 1970 IHF European Field Handball Cup. The 1969 season served as the basis for qualification. In this third and final staging of the competition, TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen prevailed for the third time. The Dankerser Herbert Lübking was also top scorer for the third time with 30 goals . The games of the tournament took place from May 16 to 18, 1970 in Weinheim , Bensheim , Ketsch , Leimen , Oftersheim and Viernheim .

Tournament mode

The five participating teams competed in a round-robin tournament in which each team competed once against each other team. The team with the most points after these encounters won. In the event of a tie between two or more teams, the better goal difference would have been decisive.
