Idir Ouali (born May 21, 1988 in Roubaix ) is a French - Algerian football player . He has been under contract with the Turkish club Hatayspor since the 2019/20 season .

Career

Ouali began his career in the city of his birth at Excelsior AC Roubaix . At the age of 15 he was accepted into the nearby Academy of Excelsior Mouscron in Belgium. There he went through the remaining youth teams and came on January 27, 2007 to his professional debut for the club in a league game against KAA Gent . On March 8, 2008, he scored his first goal in a game against Bruges . His contract was extended to 2010 on March 16, 2008. On September 14, 2008 Ouali scored a hat trick in a league game against KV Kortrijk .

On December 28, 2009, Excelsior Mouscron was demoted from First Division to Third Division after the club went bankrupt. All the players in the first team were left without a club and were able to sign contracts with other clubs.

On January 8, 2010 Ouali signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the French first division club Le Mans FC . On July 24, 2012 he received a two-year contract with Dynamo Dresden . At the end of the 2012/13 season he scored the goal of the 2-0 final in the second leg of the relegation , which secured Dynamo relegation. The following year he was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga.

For the 2014/15 season he moved to the Bundesliga ascended SC Paderborn 07 ; he signed a three-year contract. Within two years he rose from the Bundesliga to the 3rd division with SC Paderborn . For the 2016/17 season, Ouali moved to the Belgian first division club KV Kortrijk and signed a two-year contract with an option to extend it for another year.

A further extension of the contract was rejected by KV Kortrijk, so that Ouali was initially without a contract from the end of the 2018/19 season. At the beginning of August 2019, he signed a two-year contract with the Turkish club Hatayspor , which at that time was playing in the TFF 1st Lig , the second highest Turkish league.
