Furkan Şeker (born March 17, 1992 in Göksun ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
Club career
Şeker began playing club football in the youth of Beşiktaş Istanbul and was given a professional contract here in 2010. For the 2010/11 season he was taken to the season preparation camp by the new coach Bernd Schuster . During the season, in addition to his work for the reserve team, he was repeatedly involved in the training of professionals and even used in some cup matches.
For the 2011/12 season he was loaned to the second division team Denizlispor and played here almost consistently as a regular.
At the end of the season he returned to Beşiktaş and was taken to the pre-season camp by the new coach Samet Aybaba and then put on the list of players who should be given up.
On August 24, 2012, his move to the second division Göztepe Izmir was announced for a transfer fee of 275,000 Turkish Lira .
After Göztepe was relegated to the TFF 2nd Lig in the summer of 2013 , Şeker moved to the second division Ankaraspor .
In February 2015, he was loaned to Denizlispor and then committed to the season.
After a two-year stint at Boluspor , he returned to Denizlispor for the 2018/19 season . With Denizlispor he was able to celebrate the championship of the TFF 1st Lig 2018/19 and the promotion to the Süper Lig.
National team
Şeker went through almost all youth national teams in Turkey from the Turkish U-16 to the U-21 .
As part of the Toulon 2012 tournament , Şeker was nominated in May 2012 for the second selection of the Turkish national team . The Turkish A2 nominated players who were younger than 23 years to meet the age requirements for the tournament. The team made it to the finals and was subject to Mexico's selection.
