Ignacio Solórzano (born February 9, 1995 in Donostia-San Sebastián ) is a Spanish ice hockey player who has been playing for CH Txuri Urdin since the beginning of his career . Since 2011 he has played for the Basques in the Superliga , the top division in Spain.

Career

Ignacio Solórzano began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of CH Txuri Urdin . In the 2011/12 season he made his debut for the club from his Basque hometown in the Superliga , the top division in Spain. With the club he won the Spanish Cup in 2016 and Spanish champions in 2017 and 2018 .

International

For Spain , Solórzano took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships 2011 , 2012 and 2013 as well as the U20 World Championships 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 in Division II. He also represented the Iberians at the 2015 Winter Universiade , whose ice hockey tournament was held in Granada , Spain .

In the senior sector, he made his debut at the 2014 World Cup , when he was promoted from the B group to the A group in Division II with the Iberians. There he played at the 2015 , 2016 and 2017 World Championships . After relegation in 2017, he played again in group B in 2018 and achieved immediate promotion. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
