Ilya Sorokin (actor)

Ilya Sorokin (born September 5, 1986 in Sharipovo / Krasnoyarsk Region , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a German actor .

Life

Ilja Sorokin was born in 1986 as the second child of the Russian-German couple Olga Stettinger and Nikolaj Sorokin in Sharipowo / Krasnoyarsk , Siberia . His father worked as a bus driver , his mother as a grocery seller . His grandparents were Volga Germans who had been deported to Siberia during World War II in 1941 . After finishing school he volunteered for the German Armed Forces and did his military service from 2006 to 2008 with the armored artillery battalion 215 in the General-Feldmarschall-Rommel barracks in Augustdorf . After serving in the Bundeswehr, he moved from his hometown of Meppen to Berlin , where he completed a four-year training course at the TRANSform drama school.
