Until 1974 Ilsbach was an independent municipality . As part of the administrative reform that began in Rhineland-Palatinate in the mid-1960s, today's local community of Kleinich was re-established on March 17, 1974 from Ilsbach and six other communities . Ilsbach had a total of 34 inhabitants in 1974. The proportion of Protestant Christians was 71.8% in 2008 and 100% in 1925.
Former coat of arms
Blazon : "In green a silver pole with a wave cut, inside a green I." | |
Reasons for the coat of arms: The coat of arms is talking. The broken wave post shows an "I", the first letter of the place name, and refers to the second part of the name. The green color of the coat of arms indicates agriculture. |
