geography

Incahuasi and Culpina are located in the mountainous region of the Cordillera de Tajsara o Tarachaca in the semi-arid transition area between the semi-humid mountain forests of the eastern mountain ranges of Bolivia and the arid Altiplano .

The annual rainfall varies between 350 and 550 mm and occurs mainly in the months from November to March; the winter months from May to August are largely free of precipitation (see Culpina climate diagram). Traffic situation

Incahuasi is 431 kilometers by road south of Sucre , the capital of the department.

From Sucre, the paved road Ruta 5 leads in a south-westerly direction to Potosí , the capital of the department bordering to the west. From here the Ruta 1 leads south , which is still paved for the first 37 kilometers to Cuchu Ingenio . After another 146 kilometers, the Ruta 1 reaches the city of Camargo . Another 19 kilometers south of Camargo, a dirt road branches off in an easterly direction, crosses the Río Camblaya and overcomes an altitude difference of 600 m on the next 47 kilometers to Culpina. To the east of Culpina, a road branches off to the northeast and after a further 13 kilometers reaches Incahuasi .
