Ingrid El Sigai
Ingrid El Sigai (born February 17, 1966 in Heidelberg ) is a German-Egyptian soprano , speaker and presenter .
Life
Ingrid El Sigai first studied musicology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt and then solo singing at the music academies in Würzburg and Frankfurt, but also privately with Hilde Zadek .
Since the beginning of the 1990s she has been engaged in various German ensembles and has made guest appearances in various leading roles a. a. at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden , the Alte Oper Frankfurt, at the Würzburg Mozart Festival, Schwetzingen Mozart Festival, Heidelberg Spring, at the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival , the Kissinger Sommer , the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival as well as various productions by the Chamber Opera Frankfurt . Most recently she was engaged as Agameda in Christa Wolf's Medea at the Freiburg Theater.
Since 1990 El Sigai has also worked for the Hessischer Rundfunk as a speaker, editor and presenter. As a speaker she is u. a. active in the news on hr4 and hr2-kultur, she also speaks for ZDF , 3Sat , ARTE , ARD , hr-fernsehen , BR , MDR. As an editor and presenter, she presented the ARD digital program “Einsfestival Musik”. In the ARD, El Sigai moderated the previous evening series, and she presents the drawing of the lottery numbers on Saturday as Franziska Reichenbacher's vacation replacement .
From 1992 own productions a. a. in cooperation with Sabine Fischmann and with the bearer of the Goethe badge of the city of Frankfurt am Main , Frank Wolff . Productions such as Mozart, Motz-Art, so tender , London Love Alpenglühn and support stockings (directed by Birgitta Linde) or Casting Star (directed by Manfred Roth ), with their musical and content-related conception, are located on the border between light and serious music.
Since 2005 she has played in productions at the Stalburg Theater in Frankfurt, founded by Michael Herl . Since 2006 she has been a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Darmstadt, in 2019 she had a teaching position at the University of Gießen for "Introduction to professional media speech", and since 2011 artistic director of the children's tour theater Kleine Oper Bad Homburg . El Sigai has been performing regularly with the band Konzertgebräu since 2015.
El Sigai is also the "voice" of various telephone hotlines and navigation systems, among others. a. from IKEA , Citibank and Deutsche Bahn and she gave the voice of "Lilly" in the Tatort episode, Like Lilly and Ulrich Tukur .
