Ingrid Straumer

Ingrid Straumer , née Ahrens (* 1952 in Hamburg-Allermöhe ), is a German teacher and Low German author .

Life

Straumer grew up in Boberg . From 1958 to 1967 she attended elementary school in Bergedorf , where Günter Harte was the headmaster . With him she got to know the Low German literature in German lessons , which she could not let go of. She then attended the commercial school from 1967 to 1969 and the business school in Hamburg from 1969 to 1972 . After graduating from high school , she studied pedagogy with a focus on German at the University of Hamburg .

After her teacher training, she did an internship at the Bergedorfer Zeitung and then worked there as an editor .

In 1979 she followed her husband, who changed his career, to Berlin and since 1993 has been a teacher at a primary school in the Berlin district of Wedding . She has also been writing columns for the BZ since 1997 and is an honorary member of the editorial team of the Hamburg quarterly magazine Quickborn .

Straumer is part of the board of trustees of the Fritz Reuter Prize , which is awarded by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation FVS .

Ingrid Straumer is married and has two daughters.
