Inhume is a grindcore / deathgrind band from Limburg in the Netherlands .

history

The band Inhume was founded in 1994 by Joost (vocals), Johan Dirkx (vocals), Richard Ebisch (guitar), Loek Peeters (bass) and Roel Sanders (drums). Right from the start, the musicians were very active in the grindcore scene and played various gigs with bands such as Agathocles , Dead Infection , Benediction , Altar and Nyctophobic . The band's first demo appeared in 1995 . This was followed by split tapes with Mundo de Mierda and Suppository and a promotape. The band was supposed to go on a European tour as the opening act for Deranged , but had to cancel because Richard Ebisch and Roel Sanders dropped out. The former focused on his main band Occult (later Legion of the Damned ).

A replacement was found with Harold Gielen (guitar) and Michiel Adriaans (drums). Adriaans left the band that same year. He can be heard on a Split-7 '' with Blood . His successor Erik De Windt ( Sinister ) also stayed only a few months before moving to Australia to join Deströyer 666 . However, Roel Sanders came back to the band.

In 2000, the debut album Decomposing from Inside (Bones Brigade Records) was released before Inhume signed a contract with Osmose Productions . There followed In for the Kill (2003) with the new singer Dorus van Ooij, who replaced founding member Johan "Driek" Dirkx. In 2007 Harald Gielen left, but the band continued with a guitarist. In the same year Chaos Dissection Order was published .

In 2008 a contract was signed with the German label War Anthem Records, which released the next album Molding the Deformed in 2010 .

style

Inhume plays Grindcore with strong Death Metal influences. They call Carcass , Napalm Death and Terrorizer as musical role models . The texts are based on Carcass and Autopsy . Despite their rather simple style of music based on speed, Inhume is considered "one of the best - and oldest - death grind bands ever".

The band members are also active in other grindcore bands. Ben Janssen and Loek Peeters are also with Bile , while Joost Silvrant is the singer with Drowning in Tears and Cliteater . Silvrants was also active as an interim singer with Sinister. Drummer Roel Sanders has been with God Dethroned and Asphyx , among others .
