The association Inssan for cultural interaction e. V. was launched in 2001 in Berlin and formally founded as an association on October 25, 2002. Since July 1, 2011 the association has been called “Inssan e. V. ". Its aim is to "promote the development of a German-speaking Islam ".

Members

The mosque association "Inssan" (Arabic إنسان for "man") is multiethnic and according to its own information has members from Germany , Morocco , Turkey , Bosnia , Egypt , Yemen , France , Tunisia , India , Palestine , Jordan , Russia and Algeria . It has about forty, mostly student members. Two out of four Inssan's board members are former members of the Muslim Youth Germany (MJD). Neukölln

Charlottenburg

Since 2007 there have been plans to build a mosque with a dome and minaret for 700 believers in Charlottenburg's Keplerstrasse not far from Mierendorffplatz . The building application should be submitted in August 2007 and the start of construction was planned for 2009. With 4800 square meters of usable space, the building project is half the size of the facility planned in Pflügerstrasse. A third of the donations for the new project should also be collected in Germany, the rest should be financed by sponsors from Arab countries.
