history
Interair South Africa was founded in 1993 and began flight operations in 1994 with scheduled flights within South Africa. The national routes were replaced by international flights within Africa in April 1995. In March 2007 it employed around 190 people. Operations ceased in August 2015.

From its home base at OR Tambo Airport, Interair South Africa serves international destinations across Africa . There are also codeshare agreements with Air Madagascar and Air Austral .
