At these meetings, each participant is entitled to vote, but not more than four per continental association.

history

prehistory

The first unofficial meeting took place in Sydney in 2001 just before the Global Greens Conference . Inspired by this meeting, members of the Federation of Young European Greens (FYEG), Campus Greens USA and several other green groups, as well as individuals, began to plan for a first conference of green youth organizations via email correspondence in 2005 . The following year, two employees of the Federation of Young European Greens in the FYEG's Brussels office began working on the plan, which led to the GYG being constituted at its first congress in January 2007.
