The International Islamic University in Islamabad ( English : International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI); Arabic : الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية إسلام آباد , Urdu : بين الاقوامی اسلامی يونيورسٹی) is a Founded in 1980, Islamic University in the capital of Pakistan . In 2016 it was ranked number 13 in Pakistan and currently number 2957 worldwide. Another university of the same name is the International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur in the capital of Malaysia .

Campuses

New campus accommodation

The university has two campuses, one old and one new.

Old campus

The old university campus is near the Faisal Mosque . It was designed by a Turkish architect and donated to the university by the Saudi King Faisal . The mosque nearly nearly 80,000 people.

New campus

The new campus is located in Sector H-10 of Islamabad, a sector that only includes the university. Construction of the first phase was completed in February 2003. A women's campus was set up. Construction of the Central Library was completed in 2006, along with Lincoln Corner.
