Isabel Cueto (born December 3, 1968 in Kehl ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

Isabel Cueto appeared in ITF tournaments in the summer of 1983 before making her debut on the WTA Tour at the German Open in Berlin in 1984 .

Cueto reached their highest place in the individual world rankings with rank 20 in August 1989 . She won five singles and one double title on the WTA Tour , all on clay. At the French Open (1985, 1990) and at the US Open (1987, 1988) Cueto succeeded in reaching the third round, it was her best performance in Grand Slam tournaments .

In the Fed Cup she played four double games for the German team with a record of 3: 1 wins. In 1984, 1986 and 1987 she was German champion.

In 1994 Cueto ended her professional career.

Private

Cueto is married and has two children. Today she works as a teacher in a school.
