Iván Gracia (born July 14, 1984 in Jaca ) is a former Spanish ice hockey player who was last under contract with CH Gasteiz in the Spanish Super League until 2014 .

Career

Iván Gracia began his career as an ice hockey player with CH Jaca from his native city. In 2001 he moved to the Spokane Chiefs , who had drawn him in the second round of the CHL Import Draft as the 59th player and for whom he played for a year in the Canadian top junior league Western Hockey League . The attacker then returned to his Spanish homeland, where he was signed by CH Jaca from the Superliga , with whom he won the Spanish championship in 2003 and 2004 , and the Spanish Cup in 2003 . Gracia then moved to their league rivals CG Puigcerdà , with whom he again won the national championship in 2006 and 2007 and the cup in 2005. From 2007 to 2011 Gracia played again for Jaca. After his return he and his team won the championship title again in 2010 and 2011 and the Spanish cup competition in 2011. For the 2011/12 season he joined the CH Gasteiz , where he played until his retirement in 2014.

International

For Spain , Gracia took part in the U18 World Championships of the European Division 2 in 1999 , the European Division 1 in 2000 and the Division III in 2001 and 2002 as well as in the U20-D World Championship in 2000 and, after switching to the current division system, in the U20 World Championships Division III in 2001 and 2002 and Division II in 2004 .

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 and 2009 .
