Ivan Pešić (born March 17, 1989 in Rijeka , Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian handball goalkeeper .

The first years as an active player Pešić played in his hometown of Rijeka with RK Zamet and with a sponsorship license with the Croatian second division club RK Senj . He then played for the top Hungarian club MKB Veszprém , with whom he won the championship and cup in the 2008/09 season, and the Croatian first division club RK Zagreb , with whom he won the double three times . In 2012 he moved to the Slovenian club RK Maribor Branik . After one season, he signed with the Belarusian club Brest GK Meschkow , with whom he became champions in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 as well as cup winners in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

For the Croatian men's national handball team , Pešić has played 34 international matches so far. He took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .

In a knife fight in a dance hall, he was so badly injured by a knife that a kidney had to be removed. His teammate Marian Cozma died after being stabbed twice in the heart, another colleague, Žarko Šešum , suffered a fractured skull due to violent kicks in the head.
