Ivan Tumbas ( Serbian - Cyrillic Иван Тумбас * 12. January 1987 in Novi Sad , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian hockey players , who since 2016 again at HK Vojvodina is under contract with the club since 2017 in the International Hockey League plays .

Career

Ivan Tumbas began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Vojvodina Novi Sad , for which he has played in the Serbian Ice Hockey League since 2003 (until 2006: Serbian-Montenegrin Ice Hockey League). In 2004 he was with the club of Serbian-Montenegrin champions and in 2009 he won the Pannonian League with him . In 2010 he moved to the Serbian capital for HK Partizan Belgrade , with whom he won both the Serbian championship and the Slohokej league in 2011 and 2012 . He then returned to his hometown, where he played for the HK NS Stars for four years and has been active again for the HK Vojvodina since 2016. With Vojvodina he has been playing in the newly founded Slovene-dominated International Hockey League since 2017 .

International

For Yugoslavia Tumbas took part in the U18 World Cup of Division III in 2002 . He then played for Serbia and Montenegro in the Division II competitions of 2004 and 2005 and the U20 World Championships in 2004 and 2006 . After the split of Montenegro he took part for the all-Serbian team in the 2007 U-20 World Cup in Division II.

In the men's area, Tumbas made his international debut for the Serbian-Montenegrin selection at the 2006 World Cup in Division II. He then played for the Serbian team and played with them in Division II in 2008 , 2009 , 2011 and 2012. After the Serbs in 2009 at the home tournament In Novi Sad the promotion had been successful for the first time, Tumbas played with his team in 2010 in Division I, but had to accept the immediate relegation. He also took part in qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 for Serbia .
