Jérémy Lelièvre (born February 8, 1991 ) is a French athlete who specializes in the open-air decathlon and indoor heptathlon . In the decathlon he was once French champion and in the heptathlon twice.

Career

He completed the best heptathlon of his career on July 7th and 8th, 2012 at the French U23 championships in Aubagne . He finished the competition with 7911 points and thus secured the title. In addition, the 7911 points are his personal best.

On February 16 and 17, 2013, he took part in the French indoor heptathlon championships in Aubière . With 5997 points, he not only set a personal best, but also secured the French championship title in the indoor heptathlon and qualified for the 2013 European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg . On March 2nd and 3rd, he was unable to build on the good performance at the French championships and only collected 5112 points. He finished 12th in the overall ranking.

For France he was allowed to take part in the Universiade 2015 in Gwangju and started in the decathlon on July 8th and 9th . He finished the competition with 7593 points, and in the shot put he set a new personal best with 15.21 meters. With the 7593 points he just missed a medal and had to be content with fourth place. Three years after his first title, he again secured the French championship title in the indoor heptathlon in Aubière on February 27 and 28. With 5965 points, he was just below his best performance from 2013.

A year later he was able to win a French championship title in the decathlon for the first time . He won the decathlon on June 14 and 15, 2017 in Marseille with 7843 points. He also set a new personal best in the long jump with 7.54 meters . For the second time after 2015, he also took part in the Universiade in 2017 . At the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei , he started the decathlon on August 24th and 25th. With 7387 points, he could not confirm the performance from the French championship and only finished seventh in the overall result.
