Jürgen Bohmbach

Jürgen Bohmbach (born April 1, 1944 in Prerow ) is a German historian .

Life

Jürgen Bohmbach is the son of a Hamburg wholesale and foreign trade merchant and was born on April 1, 1944 in Prerow auf dem Darß . In 1970 he was at the University of Hamburg - Department of Historical Sciences - with the dissertation The social structure of Braunschweig around 1400. doctorate . In 1973 he came to Stade and worked at the Lower Saxony State Archives - State Archives Stade, of which he was deputy director. From 1977 to 2010 he was a city archivist of the city archive Stade. From 1992 to 2001 he was chairman of the ANKA (= working group of local archivists in Lower Saxony).

Bohmbach has written numerous works, especially on the history of the city of Stade .
