Jōgan
Jōgan ( Japanese 貞 観 ) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from May 859 to May 877 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Ten'an , the following era is called Gangyō . The era falls during the reign of the emperors ( Tennō ) Seiwa and Yōzei .
The first day of the Jōgan era corresponds to May 20, 859, the last day was May 31, 877. The Jōgan era lasted 19 years or 6587 days.
