Jachówka is a village with a Schulzenamt of the Budzów municipality in the Suski powiat of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland .

geography

The place lies on the brook Jachówka in the Beskid Makowski (Makower or Mittelbeskiden). The neighboring towns are Budzów in the northwest, Baczyn in the northeast, Bieńkówka in the east, Żarnówka in the southeast, the city of Maków Podhalański in the south.

history

The place and sołtys Jakub were first mentioned in 1432. It belonged to the Starostei of Lanckorona. A wave of Wallachian settlers arrived in the area in the late 15th century .

During the first partition of Poland in 1772, the village became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804).

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Jachówka became part of Poland , with the exception of the time when Poland was occupied by the Wehrmacht in World War II .

From 1975 to 1998 Jachówka was part of the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .
