Jake Morissette (* 6. March 1983 in Fruitvale , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player , who in 2013 and Cardiff Devils in the Elite Ice Hockey League on the position of the striker plays.
Career
Jake Morissette's first major ice hockey station was the Williams Lake TimberWolves in the British Columbia Hockey League , for which he played in the 2002/03 and 2003/04 seasons. For the next four years, Morissette stormed for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute team . In his last season with this team, Jake Morissette was the captain . After these four years he moved to the Amarillo Gorillas , where he intensified the offensive for two seasons.
The following season Jake Morissette spent in Denmark with the Frederikshavn White Hawks , with whom he made it to the final of the playoffs in 2011. However, the team failed at Herning Blue Fox and thus only received the silver medal. Morissette left Frederikshavn after that season for South Dakota to Rapid City Rush . For this team, however, he only played four games before signing a contract in France with HC Amiens Somme . There he stormed for the remainder of the 2011/12 season.
Then Morissette went to Germany. His first stop in Germany was the ETC Crimmitschau in the 2nd Bundesliga , for which he only played two games. The reason for the quick separation was that Morissette could not meet the expectations of the ice pirates. He was also unlucky with a broken hand. He was then signed by SC Riessersee , who played in the same league. For this Morissette completed ten games, in which he brought it to three goals and five assists. After these twelve games for Crimmitschau and Riessersee, Jake Morissette turned his back on Germany. He has been playing with the Welsh Cardiff Devils in the Elite Ice Hockey League since the 2013 season . His SCR colleague Andrew Lord has also played there since this season .
