Jakub Tomasz Szyszkowski (born August 21, 1991 ) is a Polish shot putter .

Athletic career

Jakub Szyszkowski gained his first international experience in 2010 at the Junior World Championships in Moncton , where he was eliminated from the qualification with a width of 18.74 m. In 2013 he won the U23 European Championships in Tampere with 19.78 m and also qualified for the World Championships in Moscow , where he did not reach the final with 19.36 m. The following year he took part in the European Championships in Zurich for the first time , but also retired there with 19.46 m in qualification, as well as at the European Indoor Championships in Prague in 2015at which he failed to make a valid attempt. In October he finished sixth at the Military World Games in Mungyeon, South Korea, with 18.93 m. In 2017 he was eliminated from the qualification at the World Championships in London with 20.54 m and was then fifth at the Summer Universiade in Taipei with 19.87 m. In 2018 he was eliminated from the qualification at the European Championships in Berlin with 19.67 m and in 2019 at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow with 20.28 m. In October he took part again in the World Championships in Doha , but did not reach the final with 20.55 m . Then he finished at the Military World Games in Wuhan with 20.37 m in fifth place.

In 2013 and 2015 Szyszkowski became Polish indoor champion shot put.
