Jan Hutter

Jan Hutter (* 1984 in Visp , Canton of Valais ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

Hutter, a Swiss citizen with some French origins, spent his school days in Brig , Buenos Aires and Lucerne , where he left grammar school prematurely to begin his studies at the Vienna Conservatory . He studied acting in Vienna from 2003 to 2007 and also received training in musicals , operettas and chansons at the Vienna Conservatory . He completed his training in June 2007 with an acting and musical diploma. During his training he made a guest appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2005 (as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream ).

Hutter had various engagements in theater and musical productions in Vienna and the surrounding area. a. at the Vienna Metropol (2004; and again in 2008), at the Stadttheater Baden (2007/08 season), at the Stockerau Festival (2008; as Jean-Michel in La Cage aux Folles ), at the DSCHUNGEL WIEN youth theater - theater for young audiences (2008 ) and at the Theater Neue Tribüne Vienna (2008). From 2009-2010 he played the role of the spy Meisner in the musical Rudolf - Affaire Mayerling at the Raimund Theater in Vienna .

Since 2010 he has been part of the ensemble of the Theater der Jugend Wien . He had further engagements in Salzburg and Graz . In the summer of 2014, Hutter appeared as Ejlert Løvborg in Hedda Gabler at the Gmunden City Theater as part of the Salzkammergut Festival . In autumn 2014, Hutter appeared at the Bosnian National Theater Zenica in the role of the nameless in the play Balkan Requiem . In the 2014/15 season he was engaged as a guest at the Vienna Volkstheater , where he took on the role of "He" in the play Rozznjogd by Peter Turrini . In 2015 he played the role of Jonathan Löwe in Die Brüder Löwenherz in a production of the Theater der Jugend at the Renaissance Theater Vienna . Hutter also plays open-air theater regularly. In the summer of 2016 he took on the role of Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Perchtoldsdorf Summer Games . 2018 he was commissioned works Lucifer by Bernhard Aichner at the Summer Games Melk on stage.

Hutter worked in several film and television productions. He made his cinema debut as the German soldier Herbert in the anti-war drama Merry Christmas (2005), set in World War I. In the ARD early evening series Sophie - Bride Against Will , he was seen in a continuous series role from 2005-2006; he played the young Leopold "Leo" Fischer, the son of the innkeeper and wine merchant Heinrich Fischer.

Jan Hutter has played a leading role in the ABC documentary series The Quest since summer 2014 .
