Janaki Gatchev ( Bulgarian Йанаки Гачев ; born August 27, 1997 ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey player who has been playing for SK Irbis-Skate since 2017 .

Career

Janaki Gatschew began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the HK CSKA Sofia , where he has played in the U18 team since 2012. In the season 2014/15 he made his debut in the Bulgarian ice hockey league .

International

In the junior division Gatchev played for Bulgaria in Division III of the U18 World Championships in 2013 , 2014 and 2015 and the U20 World Cup in 2014 , 2016 and 2017 .

With the Bulgarian men's national team Gatchev first took part in the World Cup in Division III 2014 when his team was promoted to Division II. There he played at the 2015 World Cup . In 2017 and 2018 he played again in Division III. He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
