The 1966/67 season was the first season of the Japan Ice Hockey League , the highest Japanese ice hockey division . The Iwakura Ice Hockey Club became champions for the first time ever in the club's history . Top scorer with 14 points was Takao Hikigi of the Ōji Eagles .
