Jean-François "JF" Caudron (born January 18, 1978 in Saint-Hubert , Québec ) is a professional Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Diables Rouges de Briançon in the French Ligue Magnus since the summer of 2011 .
Career
The 1.85 m tall winger played for four years in college for the University of Vermont team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's game operations and then moved to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in the Minor League East Coast Hockey League . During the 2002/03 season, the left-handed shooter was also used once for cooperation partner Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the American Hockey League , but then moved to the third-class German league in 2003 for REV Bremerhaven . With the Bremerhaveners, the Canadian rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in the same year , but then went back to the third division with the Heilbronner Falken . As a league champion in 2008 , Caudron made his second promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with the Falcons.
Jean-François Caudron is so far the only player to have been voted “Player of the Year” twice in a row by the Falcons in 2006 and 2007. In addition, the goalscorer has received the club's internal “Player of the Month” award six times. After his contract was not renewed at the end of the 2008/09 season with the Heilbronner Falken, Caudron signed in November 2009 with the Stockton Thunder from the ECHL . In the same season he also played three games for the Caron & Guay de Trois-Rivières in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey . In summer 2010 he moved to SHC Fassa from the Italian A1 series . For the 2011/12 season , the Canadian was hired by the French first division club Diables Rouges de Briançon .
