Hassenpflug (family)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hassenpflug family ( Johannes Hassenpflug ) was one of the earliest and most productive sources for the collection of children's and household tales (KHM) of the Brothers Grimm . Most of the contributions came from the daughters of the family before their marriage. In Grimm's comments you have the note “from Hesse ”, “from the Maingegenden” or “from Hanau ”, because the daughters of the family moved from Hanau to Kassel during their childhood . The family's French roots explain that some texts go back to Charles Perrault .
