Jeffrén Isaac Suárez Bermúdez (born January 20, 1988 in Ciudad Bolívar , Venezuela ), Jeffrén for short , is a Venezuelan national football player who also has Spanish nationality. He plays primarily as a winger and is currently without a club.

Jeffrén made his professional debut for FC Barcelona in the 2006/07 season in the cup match against FC Badalona as a substitute for Javier Saviola . In the 2007/08 season he helped FC Barcelona B under coach Pep Guardiola to the rise of the Tercera División in the Segunda División B . He scored five goals in 30 games.

In the 2008/09 season he played his first league game for the first team of Barcelona on matchday 36 in the 1: 2 defeat at RCD Mallorca . He scored his first league goal in his tenth league game on April 3, 2010, it was 1-0 in the 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao .

On February 10, 2010 Jeffrén extended his contract at Barça until 2012. The release clause was ten million euros. In the Clásico against Real Madrid he scored the 5-0 goal on November 29, 2010.

In August 2011 Jeffrén moved to Sporting Lisbon . He signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2016 and cost 3.75 million euros transfer fee.

In January 2014 he moved back to Spain for the first division club Real Valladolid. At the end of the season, however, he rose with the club in the second division. After a year in the second division, Jeffrén moved to the Belgian second division club KAS Eupen .

In the 2017/18 season Jeffrén signed with the Grasshopper Club Zurich . From January 2019 Jeffrén was under contract with AEK Larnaka in Cyprus for six months . Since then he has been without a club.

National team

In 2006 he won the European Championship with Spain's U-19s, contributing three goals in eight games.

In 2007 he was given the opportunity with the national team of Venezuela in the 2007 Copa America to take part, but it refused. He did not want to decide at such short notice whether he would play for the Venezuelan national team or the Spanish national team in the future.
