Jello Krahmer (born November 19, 1995 in Stuttgart ) is a German wrestler . In 2020 he won the "Thor Masters" in Nykøbing Falster in the heavyweight division (up to 130 kg) and won the bronze medal for Team Germany at the European Wrestling Championships 2020 in Rome.

Career

Jello Krahmer was born in 1995 in the Stuttgart district Hedelfingen and grew up in Lorch (Württemberg) in the upper Remstal in the Ostalb district. As a schoolboy, his mother brought him to Schorndorf for a trial training session. At first, wrestling was just the second sport after football. That changed when the former Bundesliga wrestler Sedat Sevsay took him under his wing. He began to practice the sport intensely at his home club ASV Schorndorf and the successes were not long in coming.

In spring 2017, at his second European Championship participation in Szombathely , Hungary , he just missed the bronze medal. At the U-23 World Championships in the same year in Bydgoszcz , Poland , he won them sensationally. He finished second at the German championships in 2019 and won the "Thor Masters" in Nykøbing Falster at the beginning of 2020, which earned him the nomination for the European wrestling championships in Rome that same year, where he had his dream of winning the first medal in a major international competition fulfilled.

After completing his studies at Aalen University , Krahmer has been a sports soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Bruchsal since the end of 2019 .
