Jesús Vidal Chamorro (born May 6, 1974 in Madrid , Spain ) is a Spanish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Madrid .

Life

Jesús Vidal Chamorro graduated from Complutense University in Madrid in 1997 with a degree in economics . He received on 8 May 2004, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Vidal Chamorro then worked as parish vicar in the parish of Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fátima as well as deputy chaplain of the Catholic Action in Madrid and as vice-rector of the Church of Santo Niño del Remedio , before he became chaplain of the Catholic Action in Madrid and Manos Unidas in 2008 . In 2007 he graduated from the Dámaso University in Madrid with a degree in Catholic theology . From 2012 to 2015 Jesús Vidal Chamorro was also a member of the Council of Priests of the Archdiocese of Madrid and episcopal delegate for youth pastoral care .

Since 2015 Vidal Chamorro Regens has been the pastor of the seminary in Madrid and since 2016 pastor of the parish of Santa María de la Cabeza . In addition, he has been a member of the College of Consultors of the Archdiocese of Madrid since 2017 .

On 29 December 2017 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Elepla and auxiliary bishop in Madrid. The episcopal ordination donated him the archbishop of Madrid, Carlos Cardinal Osoro Sierra , on 17 February 2018 the Cathedral of Santa María la Real de La Almudena ; Co- consecrators were the Senior Archbishop of Madrid, Antonio María Cardinal Rouco Varela , and Archbishop Renzo Fratini , Apostolic Nuncio in Spain.
