Yevgeny Alexandrowitsch Fadejew ( Russian Евгений Александрович Фадеев ; born July 9, 1982 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who has played for Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk in the Vysschaja Hockey League since 2015 .
Career
Yevgeny Fadeev began his career as an ice hockey player in the junior division of Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , for whose second team he was active from 1999 to 2003 in the Pervaya League , the third Russian division. Towards the end of the 2002/03 season he made his debut for Torpedo's professional team in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . In the summer of 2003, the defender moved to Gornjak Rudny , for whom he ran parallel in the Pervaya League and the Kazakh Championship in the following year and a half . Subsequently, the left shooter received a contract with HK Kasachmys Satpajew , for which he was again parallel in the Wysschaja Liga and Kazakhstan on the ice. With Kasachmys he won the championship and cup double in the 2005/06 season . After the team moved to Sätbajew , he was able to repeat the 2007 cup win with Kasachmys.
In the summer of 2007 Fadeev received a contract with Barys Astana from the Vysschaya League, for which he played in the newly founded Continental Hockey League since the 2008/09 season . In 2009 he was signed by league rivals Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg . In 2010 he returned to Astana, but was mostly only a supplementary player in the following years. Therefore, he was used in the 2013/14 season with Nomad Astana , the club's second team, in the Kazakh championship, from October 2014 then at HK Saryarka Karaganda in the Vysschaja Hockey League . In 2015 he moved back to his home club in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
International
For Kazakhstan , Fadeev took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championship of the European Division I 2000 , the U20 Junior World Championship of the Top Division 2001 and the U20 Junior World Championship of Division I in 2002 .
In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2011 and 2013 and in the top division in 2010 and 2012 . He also represented his country at the qualifying tournaments for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and Sochi in 2014, as well as at the 2011 Asian Winter Games . At the Asian Games he won the gold medal with his team.
