Yevgeny Gennadjewitsch Pechonkin ( Russian Евгений Геннадьевич Печёнкин , English transcription Yevgeniy Pechonkin ; born October 9, 1973 in Krasnodar ) is a Russian bobsledder and former hurdler , whose specialty was the 110-meter distance .

In 1992 he won the gold medal as a member of the United Team at the World Junior Athletics Championships in Seoul . In addition, he also took part in the long jump and secured fifth place. At the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart, however, he was eliminated in the preliminary run in fifth place with a time of 13.85 s.

In 1996 he won the silver medal in the European Athletics Cup, which was designed as a team competition. In the same year he was eliminated from the Atlanta Olympics with 13.86 seconds as fifth in the run. At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1998 in Valencia he was sixth in the 60 m hurdles .
