Yevgeny Valeryevich Pomasan ( Russian Евгений Валерьевич Помазан ; born January 31, 1989 in Angren , Uzbek SSR ) is a Russian football player who plays in the position of goalkeeper .

Club career

Pomasan played at Kuban Krasnodar in his youth and was added to the squad of the second team when he was 18. In the summer of 2007 he moved to CSKA Moscow on loan and was a substitute goalkeeper for the first team. On the third to last matchday of the 2007 game year, he got his first brief assignment in the Russian Premier League . Then he was firmly committed by the capital club. However, he stayed almost exclusively on the bench. In 2009 he played two games in the first team in the cup competition , including the round of 16. The club later won the competition.

In 2010 he was loaned to the second division Ural Yekaterinburg . From the 7th match day he took over the place between the posts and was number one in the first half of the season. In the second half of the season he played irregularly. In the 2011 game year there was a renewed loan to the first division club Spartak Nalchik . There he took over the place in goal again after a few match days, after being injured in his fourth game, he was on the field twice, but then lost his regular place.

For the second half of the season he was signed by the league competitor Anzhi Makhachkala from CSKA Moscow. There he made five first division appearances in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons and had his first international appearance in the UEFA Europa League against Udinese Calcio on September 20, 2012 . But Pomasan did not make the jump to the goalkeeper. At the beginning of the following season he returned to his ex-club in Sverdlovsk for six appearances, but back at Anzhi Makhachkala he only made six competitive appearances in the rest of the season.

For the 2014/15 season Pomasan then returned to his youth club Kuban Krasnodar. Although he only came to a cup appearance, he was taken over by Krasnodar on a free transfer after the loan contract expired and he went into the next season as number one. After four defeats at the beginning and the ongoing relegation battle, the goalkeeper was changed again and again during the season. The club missed relegation and was relegated to the 1st division. There he remained a substitute goalkeeper and only took over the place between the posts again four match days before the winter break.

National team

With the Russian U-17 Yevgeny Pomasan took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2006 . There the team won the tournament 5-3 on penalties against the Czech Republic, with Pomazan playing a decisive role in the final victory with two saved penalties. He had a total of 11 appearances in the U-17 team. In 2007 he was in the European squad for the UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup . After that he was also used several times in the U-19 and U-21. He did not make the leap into the national team in the men's area, but was used twice in a national B selection.
