João Carlos Hatoa Nunes

João Carlos Hatoa Nunes (born March 8, 1968 in Beira ) is a Mozambican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Chimoio .

Life

João Carlos Hatoa Nunes was ordained a priest on July 17, 1995 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on May 25, 2011 auxiliary bishop in Maputo and titular bishop of Amudarsa . The Archbishop of Maputo, Francisco Chimoio OFMCap , ordained him episcopal on July 10th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Adriano Langa OFM , Bishop of Inhambane , and Lucio Andrice Muandula , Bishop of Xai-Xai .

From January 14th to June 29th 2012 he was Apostolic Administrator of Beira during the Sedis vacancy .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Chimoio on January 2, 2017.
