Career

society

Drommel began playing football at ZVV Zaanlandia and was subsequently trained at HFC Haarlem and Almere City , among others . As an A-youth he was accepted into the youth center of FC Twente Enschede . As a result, the goalkeeper came to his first appearances in the men's area when he completed four second division games for the second men's team; On the 28th matchday of the 2014/15 season he was also part of the professional matchday squad.

Drommel was a permanent member of the first team from the 2015/16 season , alternating with Nick Marsman , he played twelve games until he was out in the long term from March 2016 due to a metatarsal fracture. After his recovery, the Dutchman was no longer considered by head coach René Hake and only played for the second team, which had meanwhile been relegated to the third-rate Tweede Divisie . On the 16th match day of the 2017/18 season , the goalkeeper pushed Jorn Brondeel from his regular place and kept him after the relegation in the spring of 2018 in the 2018/19 season , in which he only missed two of 42 competitive games. As champion of the Eerste Divisie, Drommel was able to celebrate the immediate resurgence with Twente and made 28 competitive appearances by the early end of the 2019/20 season in May 2020; Twente finished this in 14th place.
