Wout Brama (born August 21, 1986 in Almelo ) is a Dutch football player .
Career
society
The midfielder played for Twente Enschede in the Eredivisie since July 2005 . Before that, he played in the club's youth department for six years. In his first year as a professional, Brama made 29 appearances and was thus able to play in the regular team of FC Twente. When Fred Rutten became a coach, he preferred Karim El Ahmadi to Brama's position and he found himself increasingly on the exchange bank. Nevertheless, he extended his contract until 2010. After Rutten and El Ahmadi left the club in summer 2008 and Steve McClaren took over his position, Brama played a bigger role in the Twente system again. On February 9, 2009, he extended it again for two years. After the team was fourth in 2007 and runner-up in 2008, Brama was able to move into the finals of the KNVB Cup in 2009 with the team . There they drew the shorter against SC Heerenveen and lost the game on penalties.
In July 2017, like his compatriot Tom Hiariej shortly before , he moved to the Australian first division club Central Coast Mariners .
National team
Brama has played a total of ten games for the Dutch U-21 national football team since 2006 . In 2008 he came to his first assignment in the B national team of the Netherlands.
In November 2009, bond coach Bert van Marwijk appointed him for the first time in the senior national team . He made his debut on November 18, 2009 in Heerenveen against Paraguay when he came on for Mark van Bommel in the 71st minute .
