Tim Hölscher (born February 21, 1995 in Gronau ) is a German football player who is under contract with the Dutch FC Twente Enschede in Enschede . He is primarily used in defensive midfield.
Career
As a child, Hölscher played for SG Gronau in his hometown. There he started as a goalkeeper, but soon moved to the position behind the top. In 2006 he moved to the youth team at FC Schalke 04 , where he played in the center forward position, and in 2009 the Dutch first division club FC Twente brought him to their football academy. At the age of 17, he received a three-year contract with the Enschede club in 2012. The midfielder should primarily be used in the second team Jong FC Twente in the 2012/13 season . After he had already completed the preparation as a test subject with the Eredivisie team, he made his competitive debut in the first team on July 12, 2012 in the Europa League ; In the second leg of the first qualifying round at UE Santa Coloma in Andorra , he was substituted on for Wout Brama after about an hour of playing time. On November 25, 2012, Hölscher competed in the Eredivisie for the first time; In the match against newly promoted PEC Zwolle , coach Steve McClaren changed him again after about an hour for Edwin Gyasi . In the summer of 2014, Hölscher was loaned to the German third division club Chemnitzer FC . After only three missions, the loan ended after half a year; Hölscher returned to Enschede.
For the 2017/18 season, Hölscher moved to the Dutch Eerste Divisie for the Go Ahead Eagles. From there he moved to the Danish club Esbjerg fB in winter 2017 . Although he was used there in all games in the first half of 2018, he moved back to Enschede in summer 2018.
On November 14, 2012, he made his first appearance for the German U-18 national team when he was on the starting line-up for the game against Italy.
