Giorgi Aburdschania ( Georgian გიორგი აბურჯანია ; born January 2, 1995 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian football player .

Career

society

Aburdjania started his career at Metalurgi Rustavi . He made his debut in the Umaghlessi League in May 2011 on the 33rd match day of the 2010/11 season against Baia Zugdidi . In January 2012 he moved to the lower class club Olimpiki Tbilisi . After half a year he left Olimpiki and joined the first division club FC Dila Gori . After one and a half years and 17 first division matches, Aburdschania moved to second division Lokomotiv Tbilisi in January 2014 .

In the summer of 2014 Aburdschania moved to Cyprus to join Anorthosis Famagusta . After 42 games in the First Division , he moved to Spain in January 2016 for the second division Gimnàstic de Tarragona . With Nàstic he missed promotion to the Primera División in the playoff against CA Osasuna .

In August 2016, he moved to league rivals Sevilla Atlético , the second team of Sevilla FC . With Sevilla Atlético, he was relegated from the Segunda División in 2018 . In the 2018/19 season he played on loan with the second division CD Lugo . For the 2019/20 season he moved to the Netherlands on loan for two years to the first division club FC Twente Enschede .

National team

Aburdschania played for various Georgian youth national teams. With the U-17 selection he made it to the semi-finals of the U-17 European Championship 2012 . After playing for the U-21 team for the first time in 2015 , he made his debut for the senior national team in a friendly against Kazakhstan in March 2016 .
