Joachim Dikau (born August 3, 1929 in Königsberg , Prussia ) is a German educational scientist specializing in adult education and business education .

Life

After a checkered life story, shaped by the war and the post-war period , Joachim Dikau completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman after temporarily working as a farm worker in Hanstedt . He completed his studies of business administration and education ( business education ) in Hamburg and Berlin on July 24, 1959 at the Free University of Berlin with a diploma in business teaching, then started teaching and after completing his teaching post on September 18, 1961, he completed the Second state examination passed. His doctorate ( Dr. rer. Pol. ) Took place on July 14, 1967 at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the Free University of Berlin.

Areas of activity

From December 11, 1969, Dikau worked as an academic adviser at the Department of Education at the Technical University of Berlin , from February 1, 1971, as a full professor for educational science ( adult education ) at the Berlin University of Education, and from September 1, 1973 until his retirement on January 1, 1971 October 1997 as full professor for business education at the Free University of Berlin .

From April 1972 to March 1978 Dikau was the spokesman for the adult education section of the German Society for Educational Science (DGfE). In addition, he was a member of the Pedagogical Committee of the German Adult Education Association from June 1972 to June 2003 . V. (DVV) and from October 1974 to September 1998 board member and from September 1976 to September 1984 chairman of the working group for university adult education e. V. (AUE, today: German Society for Scientific Further Education and Distance Learning e.V.). In addition, from November 1993 to January 2007 he was also chairman of the pedagogical advisory board of the community college in the Seddiner See community .
