Joachimshof is an inhabited part of the municipality of Breddin in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is located seven kilometers south-southeast of Breddin in the district of Sophiendorf . The neighboring towns are Stüdenitz in the north, Lohm in the northeast, Helenenhof and Roddahn in the east, Babe in the southeast, Damerow and Klein Damerow in the southwest and Waldfrieden and Voigtsbrügge in the northwest.

history

Joachimshof was first mentioned in 1543 as Newenhof , towards the end of the 18th century it was renamed after the owner at the time. At the time of the Mark Brandenburg , Joachimshof belonged to the Kyritzische Kreis , which was added to the Ostprignitz district of the Prussian province of Brandenburg . During the GDR era, the settlement belonged to the Kyritz district .

Joachimshof was part of the municipality of Voigtsbrügge from around the late 18th or early 19th century . After the dissolution of the municipality of Voigtsbrügge on January 1, 1957, Joachimshof belonged to the Sophiendorf municipality , since its dissolution on July 1, 1973, Joachimshof belongs to the Breddin municipality .
