Joanna Kitzl (* 1980 in Bern ) is a German actress .

Life and career

Joanna Kitzl was born in Bern and grew up in Hamburg. Her father is the actor Albert Kitzl . After attending the Charlotte-Paulsen-Gymnasium in the Wandsbek district , she studied drama from 1998 to 2002 at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater .

During her training, Kitzl made her debut at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in 1999 in the play Relax directed by Pjotr ​​Olev , and in the 2000/01 season she played in several productions at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus , including the world premiere of Lutz Huebner's youth play Creeps . After completing her studies, she was given a two-year engagement at the Landestheater Tübingen , and in 2004 she went to the Zurich Theater am Neumarkt for one year . From 2005 to 2009 an engagement at the Heidelberg Theater followed . After guest appearances at the Hamburger Kammerspiele (2009) and the Schauspiel Hannover (2011), Kitzl started another multi-year engagement at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe in 2011 , which ended in 2015.
