Joep Vercammen (born April 10, 1991 in Herentals ) is a former Belgian ice hockey player who played for HYC Herentals in the Dutch honor division . His older brother Ben is also a Belgian international.

Career

Joep Vercammen has been playing with HYC Herentals as a hockey player since the beginning of his career . As a 17-year-old, he was used in the first team that was playing in the Belgian first division . In 2009 and 2012 he and his team won the Belgian national championship there , in 2012 and 2013 also the cup competition . From 2010 to 2012 he and his team also took part in the Dutch-Belgian North Sea Cup . When this series was broken up, Vercammen moved with the first team of HYC Herentals in 2012 to the Dutch honor division , where he played until his early retirement in 2014.

International
For Belgium Vercammen already took part in the U-18 World Championships in 2008 and 2009 in Division II. In the U20 he also played in Division II at the 2009 , 2010 and 2011 World Championships .

With the men's national team , Vercammen took part in the Division II World Championships in 2012 and 2013 .
