Johann Friedrich Karl Maximilian von Ostein
Johann Friedrich Karl Maximilian Amor Maria Graf von Ostein (born April 12, 1735 in Saint Petersburg , † April 25, 1809 in Aschaffenburg ) came from the noble family of Ostein .
Life
The dominions Datschitz and Maleschau in Bohemia and other lands came from the parental inheritance . The Osteins bought Datschitz in 1710 and Maleschau in 1728. In 1751 he was enfeoffed by the Archbishop and Elector of Mainz and Bishop of Worms , his uncle, Johann Friedrich Karl von Ostein , with the manors in Bernterode and Ascherode in Eichsfeld . In 1763 he inherited his uncle, the Elector of Mainz, and, at the age of 28 at the time, had a very large fortune. From 1764 Johann Friedrich built the Niederwald hunting lodge , opened up the surrounding forest with an access avenue and a network of paths, and thus created the Niederwald landscape park near Rüdesheim am Rhein . Construction of the Palais Ostein in Geisenheim began just two years later .
Johann Friedrich Karl Maximilian was married to Maria Anna Luise von Dalberg (* August 8, 1739 in Mainz, † March 20, 1805), a daughter of Friedrich Anton Christoph zu Dalberg zu Hessloch, Mommenheim and Gabsheim (* April 29, 1709; † July 15, 1775), Burgmann in Friedberg , Oberamtmann in Veldenz , Electoral Mainz Privy Councilor and Vice President, since 1741 captain of the knighthood of the knightly canton of Upper Rhine and of Sophie Elisabeth, daughter of Franz Philipp Kaspar Wambolt von Umstadt and Charlotte von Kesselstatt (* 1720 or 1721 - † November 19, 1796). The title and heir was given to a nephew, Friedrich Karl Anton von Dalberg .
