Johann Heinrich Friedrich von Cocceji (* 1725 , † after 1799) was a Prussian diplomat , colonel and royal adjutant general .

Life

Origin and family

Johann Heinrich Friedrich von Cocceji was a member of the baronial aristocratic family Cocceji . His parents were the Prussian Chamber Court President and Grand Chancellor , Samuel von Cocceji (1679–1755) and the daughter general Johanna Charlotte von Beschefer († after May 3, 1765).

The Prussian Higher Government President von Glogau , Karl Ludwig von Cocceji (1724–1808) and the Polish Major General and Envoy Carl Friedrich Ernst von Cocceji (1728–1780), were his brothers, the Prussian General of the Cavalry Dubislav Friedrich von Platen (1714–1787) his brother-in-law, Countess Barbara Campanini (1721–1799) his sister-in-law.

Military career

Cocceji is said to have already been enrolled at the Brandenburg University of Frankfurt on September 15, 1733 together with his brother Carl Friedrich Ernst von Cocceji.

Then he embarked on a military career and joined the army . In 1756 he had the rank of lieutenant in the von Hacke regiment . He later advanced to the rank of colonel and became adjutant general to the king.

In February 1764 he was transferred to the Swedish court as the Prussian envoy , where he remained until October 1770. In 1774 he was involved in the border regulation in the network district .

Because of the Pomeranian family estates, he had received Wusseken and Lase in 1765 according to his mother's will, and then in 1780, together with his siblings or nephews and nieces, followed his younger brother to the Kleist and Repkow estates in the principality district as liege lord .

In 1785 he stayed in Liebenberg . In 1799 he was still living very withdrawn. The date of his death is unknown.
