Peter Kadiru (* 24. June 1997 in Hamburg ) is a German professional boxer in the heavyweight division , which until 2018 as an amateur in the super heavyweight fight.

Amateur career

Juniors and youth

The son of Ghanaian parents lives in Hamburg and trained at SV Hamburg Police and BC Tractor Schwerin . He won the 41st German Junior Championships in Bad Blankenburg in May 2013 with three early wins against Ole Mörer, Georg Göring and Anton Tomić and was in the ring for only about seven minutes. He was then used at the 9th Junior World Championships in September of the same year in Kiev . After a victory against Angel Angelow from Bulgaria, however, he lost in the second fight against the Belarusian Maksim Koslow.

In April 2014 he then reached second place at the 4th World Youth Championships in Sofia . After victories against Shokhrukhbek Erkinov from Uzbekistan , Evanders Servuts from Lithuania and Marat Kerimchanow from Russia , he only lost just 1: 2 in the final against the American Darmani Rock .

In August 2014, he took part in the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing . He defeated the former European student champion Muhamedali Tairow from Azerbaijan by technical knockout in the semifinals and again faced Darmani Rock from the United States in the final, whom he clearly defeated 3-0 on points.

In October 2014, Peter Kadiru also won the European Youth Championships in Zagreb with wins against Evanders Servuts from Lithuania (3-0), Daniel Dubois from England (2-1), Muhamedali Tairow from Azerbaijan (3-0) and Marat Kerimchanow from Russia (3: 0).

In 2015, he won the German youth championships in Hamburg in the super heavyweight division . He beat Leon Gavanas prematurely in the final. In October 2015 he won the Ahmet Cömert Tournament in Istanbul . After a bye in the round of 16, he beat Shane Lewis from Wales (tKo) in the quarterfinals and Georgi Zurabeani from Georgia (tKo) in the semifinals . In the final, his Turkish opponent Sedat Yıldız failed to fight, which Kadiru was declared the winner.

In November 2015 he won the European Youth Championships again in Kołobrzeg . Kadiru defeated the Bosnian Daso Simeunović (3-0), the Lithuanian Deividas Šernas (3-0), the Poland Kamil Mroczkowski (3-0) and the Russian Waleri Topuzyan (3-0).

In March 2017 he won the U22 European Championships in Brăila, Romania, with victories against Vitaliy Pokulyak from Ukraine, Djamili-Dini Aboudou from France and Aleksandar Mraović from Austria.

At the 2017 European Championships in Kharkiv , he defeated Scots Mitchell Barton in the preliminary round, but then lost to the Dane Kem Ljungquist in the round of 16. In December 2017 he won the German championship title in super heavyweight with victories against Vladimir Troskins (5: 0) and Alexander Müller vom Berge (5: 0).

Professional career

In November 2018, Kadiru announced his move to professional life. His manager is Bernd Bönte , who founded B&M Sport Management GmbH together with cousins ​​Christian and Raiko Morales . He made his professional debut on March 2, 2019 against Artur Kubiak from Poland, who also only completed his second fight. Kadiru won the fight, which was scheduled for six rounds, unanimously on points with three times 60:54. For the first time, Kadiru won his second fight on April 13, 2019, when he defeated the German-Italian Vincenzo Febbo in the fourth round by knockout. On May 11, 2019, he achieved a clear points victory against the Italian Paolo Iannucci.
