Osieki ( German  Wusseken ) is a village near Köslin ( Koszalin ) in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The village is located in Western Pomerania , directly on the east bank of the Jamunder See near the Eastern Pomeranian Baltic Sea beach, about eight kilometers northwest of the small town of Zanow ( Sianów ) and twelve kilometers north of Köslin.

Village church (Protestant until 1945)

The church village originally emerged from a Slavic aristocratic seat, the owners of which were mentioned in documents as early as the 13th century. Over the centuries, the property changed hands.

Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was occupied by the Red Army in the spring of 1945 . Soon afterwards, Wusseken was placed under Polish administration by the Soviet Union , along with the whole of Western Pomerania . Then the immigration of Polish civilians began. Wusseken received the Polish place name Osieki . In the following years the local population has been made Wusseken sold .

Today the place is part of the Polish administrative district Gmina Sianów .
