Johann Viktor Gruol the Younger
Johann Viktor Gruol the Younger (* 1807 in Bissingen an der Teck , † April 28, 1871 in Rommelsbach ) was a well-known 19th century organ builder from the Gruol family .
Live and act
Johann Viktor Gruol the Younger was born in 1807 as the son of the organ builder Johann Viktor Gruol the Elder (1766–1836) and Anna Margaretha Gölzin, who his father had married in 1789. As one of eleven siblings he, like his brother Johann Georg Gruol, learned the trade of organ builder. Together with her father, she ran an organ workshop on Hinteren Strasse in Bissingen an der Teck, which later housed the Krone restaurant, which has since been demolished.
After his brother Johann Georg had died in 1833 and his father in 1836, Johann Viktor Gruol the Younger continued to run the business. He later moved in with his second wife Christina Barbara, geb. Schäfer, from Bissingen an der Teck to Rommelsbach , where he died on April 28, 1871.
A student of Johann Viktor Gruol the Younger was the organ builder Christoph Ludwig Goll , who was involved in the organ workshop from 1850 to 1854. Another student was Wilhelm Blessing (* April 12, 1832, † June 26, 1870) from Esslingen . He worked with Gruol (Gruol & Blessing) until 1863, after which he ran his own organ workshop in Bissingen an der Teck until 1870.
