Johann Werner Detering

Johann Werner Detering (born July 8, 1808 in Bramsche ; † July 12, 1876 in Inselbad near Paderborn ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a businessman , Detering studied law in Halle , Jena and Göttingen after attending the Ratsgymnasium Osnabrück . During his studies, he became a member of the Halle fraternity in 1829 and of the Jena fraternity in 1830 , which later became the Arminia Jena fraternity . After completing his studies, he became a lawyer in Bramsche in 1835 and in Osnabrück in 1837 . In 1848 he was appointed to the Hanover Ministry. In the same year he appeared, politically close to the extreme left, as a leading member of a radical republican people's association in Osnabrück. As editor of the Osnabrücker Zeitung , he spread his political views to and for everyone . He was a member of the Frankfurt Pre-Parliament and in 1849, as the extreme leftist for Celle, he became a member of the Second Chamber of the Hanover State Parliament . In 1850 he became mayor of Osnabrück, in 1851 a royal notary and in 1853 he was appointed to the magistrate as a legally qualified senator . 1869 he was appointed as City Counsel Deputy Mayor, 1870-1876, he served as acting mayor , succeeding Mayor John of Miquel . He was also president of the Harmony Club .
